Lands End
57 miles away from the Bodmin Jail Hotel
Land’s End is mainland Britain’s most south-westerly point and one of the country’s most famous landmarks. The 200-foot-high granite cliffs rise out of the Atlantic Ocean creating an amazing coastal landscape, and from these you can gaze across to the Longships Lighthouse, and the Isles of Scilly twenty eight miles away. Beyond that the next land fall is North America.
With spectacular coastal views, a walk along the cliff tops is the perfect activity to relax and revitalise the senses.
Even on the days where the weather is not on your side, the Land’s End Landmark offers a range of ‘pay as you go’ attractions to keep families occupied, from Arthur’s Quest, an interactive exhibition that takes guests on a journey of discovery, to Greeb Farm, a restored 200 year old Cornish farmstead where young and old can meet the animals.
Ask at reception for more details or visit Land’s End Landmark website.
