The Charlestown Regatta returns this year, between the 29th July-4th August.
Cornwall has some amazing festivals, including Boardmasters, which takes place in Newquay every August. This year the headliners include Liam Gallagher, Cypress Hill and Florence + the Machine. It’s within easy striking distance of the Bodmin Jail Hotel, and we are more than happy to make arrangements for transportation so you can focus on enjoying yourself!
Cornwall Folk Festival | 24th-28th August
On August Bank Holiday the 50th Cornwall Folk Festival welcomes folk greats from across the UK and from the rich seam of musical ability in Cornwall and the Southwest.
Wadebridge, North Cornwall, has hosted the festival – which mixes traditional and contemporary Celtic and British folk – most years since 1972.
The town centre event runs over five days, with headline concerts, a dance, and multiple showcases of local talent.
Beast of Bodmin Carnival | Saturday 26th August 2023
The legend of the beast of Bodmin comes alive at this fun free family event, hosted by Bodmin Jail.
Bring the kids for a fun-packed day of crafts, creativity and live performances that will enchant and delight.
Open from 09:30, the courtyard comes alive with activities the whole family can enjoy.

– Circus performers
– Beast feast, with hog roast, traditional Cornish pasties, jacket potatoes, popcorn, ice-cream and doughnuts
The celebrations continue into the evening with live music from 7pm, the long-awaited arrival of The Beast himself, and breath-taking fireworks to finish up the celebration in style.
The Carnival event in the Courtyard is free to attend.

Enys House Deco Fair | 23rd-24th September

Enys Gardens, Penryn
Enys Fair has the wow factor – come and experience the magic of this wonderful venue.
Selected dealers and exhibitors will be displaying items throughout the ground floor of the historic Enys House, its carriage houses, yard and gardens.
You’ll find an excellent range of period furniture from the 18th to the mid-20th Century, antique and contemporary art, home decor, textiles and rugs.
You’ll also find folk and tribal art, jewellery, militaria, collectables, gardenalia, architectural salvage and much more.
